Grand Forks Wireless Plans for Nationwide Expansion Over MMDS
MINNEAPOLIS—(BUSINESS WIRE)—June 25, 2002—NextNet Wireless, developer
of the industry's first commercially deployed non line-of-sight (NLOS)
broadband wireless access system, and Grand Forks Wireless, Inc., announced
today that NextNet's Expedience™ NLOS system is delivering high-speed
Internet service to residential and business subscribers in Yuma, AZ.
Grand Forks Wireless holds the MMDS (2.5 to 2.686 GHz) licenses in Yuma
and several other markets throughout the U.S., and plans to expand its
deployment of NextNet's Expedience system nationwide.
